Text Box: This is the largest project so far. It is estimated to cost around $450,000 US and will complete a large hospital serving more than 150,000 people in the region. It is an exerted effort between the people in Somaliland and the diaspora in Europe, North America and the rest of the world.

Text Box: At numerous times GARDO has been involved in delivering educational materials such as reference books, computers and sports facilities to the local schools of Gabiley district towns and villages.

Text Box: During the year 2006 a radiological x-ray system has been delivered for the Gabiley district hospital. This was based on the specifications given by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for developing countries.
The overall cost of this project was in the region of £25,000

Text Box: In the early years of its foundation, GARDO has made a significant contribution towards the welfare of orphanage established in Gabiley with the help of the locals and the diaspora. This is one of the endeavours to tackle the root cause of poverty by giving opportunities to the most vulnerable sections of the communities.
